Library Campaign

The Lady Lake Public Library, near my home in Florida, is growing rapidly, and is planning a new building.

Even though we live in another county, my wife Beth and I are patrons of the Lady Lake library – and have been for ten years. Just about all of our library books and CD’s come from there. (The extra costs in fees and travel are truly worth it!!)

As a token of our gratitude to the library for service to us, I am currently donating ALL the profits from sales of my novel “Run For It!” to the library building fund.

If you wish to purchase a copy of the book, and thus make your own donation to the library building fund, ask for “Run For It!” at the main desk. Six dollars of the $16 you will pay for the book will go directly to the library. The remainder will help cover publication cost (which is around eleven dollars a copy). Beth and I make up the small difference.

You will leave the library with an autographed copy of a book that is a lot of fun to read.

Sales of my book are being handled by The Friends of the Lady Lake Public Library. I thank these volunteers very much!

(Note: Before May of 2009 all profits from sales of “Run For It!” went to another of Beth’s and my favorite causes, the Volunteers’ Performing Arts Alliance, a volunteer organization seeking to build a new performing arts center in the tri-county Lake-Sumter-Marion area. These sales contributed more than $1200 to VPAA operating funds. These sales did not make the VPAA rich, but they certainly helped keep the organization afloat!)

We hope this fund-raiser will do equally well for the Lady Lake Public Library!
